Gail Timpe and Mallory Siebert will be leading the Notre Dame girls swim team for the 2023-2024 season.
Timpe, current Theology II, Ecumenism and Child Development teacher at Notre Dame, was a swimmer in high school and has been an assistant coach for both high school and club swim teams.
Siebert is an English teacher at the high school, as well as the girls softball assistant coach. She was a four-year member of the Scott City Dolphins swim team, and swam for Notre Dame as a senior. Siebert also helped coach the Notre Dame and Saxony Lutheran teams during the 2016-2017 season.
Siebert says, “I am very excited to be involved with the swim program again! I think swimming is such a challenging and exciting sport, and I can’t wait to get to know the team and to watch them improve and succeed. I am also excited to get to coach with Gail Timpe. I already know that she is going to be a great asset to the program.”
Both coaches are dedicated to “cultivating strong swimming techniques, coupled with a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team environment.”
Notre Dame Athletic Director Jeff Graviett said, “I am very excited about these two wonderful people taking the lead for our girls swim program. They both have swimming experience and will be great additions to the Notre Dame athletics department.”
