Ellen Seyer, Notre Dame Regional High School Faculty member, was the recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Directors Award for the Southeast region. The award is presented annually to an outstanding member of the Missouri Choral Directors Association (MCDA) in each region. Recipients must be nominated by their fellow members to be considered for the award. This is not Seyer’s first Outstanding District Directors Award for the Southeast region as she received the award in 2004 as well.
Principal Tim Garner said, “Ellen has done an excellent job with our choral programs for many years. She has been integral in spring musicals as well. This is a well deserved honor for her. We are proud to have her on our staff at Notre Dame Regional High School.”
Seyer is in her 28th year at Notre Dame Regional High School. She is currently the Head of Music in the Performing and Visual Arts Department and Director of Concert Choir, Treble Choir, Mixed Chorus, Men’s Choir, and Select Singers at Notre Dame. Along with her duties in the classroom, Seyer is responsible for moderating the Encore Club and Tri-M Honor Society. She also serves as the Vocal Director for the Spring Musicals.
Congratulations, Mrs. Seyer!
