The Notre Dame Peer Helpers have spent the first semester leading the freshman class through fun, team-building experiences. These juniors and seniors have volunteered time in the summer as well as once per schedule rotation to be trained outside of the school day on the variety of activities they administer. In addition to team-building, freshmen were asked to reflect on time management and organization, verbal and non-verbal communication, leadership styles, and how their personal qualities may relate to that of their peers, parents, and teachers. The final session culminated with Peer Helper Olympics, a group relay event! We appreciate the participation of the freshmen in the variety of interesting activities that got them out of their comfort zone and helped them come together with a common goal!
A huge thank you to the Peer Helper team for their commitment to welcoming and getting to know the freshmen!
